Diatomaceous earth is renowned for its action on external parasites such as lice.
But its benefits don't stop there.

Internally, thanks to its silica content, Diatomaceous Earth will support stiff horses with strained or fragile tendons.

A tip related to diatomaceous earth:

If you have difficulty applying care products to forks because your foot is damp and difficult to clean, leave the diatomaceous earth on the fork until you have cleaned the next foot.

Scrub with a brush and your foot will be much cleaner and drier.

Diatomaceous earth absorbs more than 150% of its weight in water. So it's ideal if you want to dry out an area.

Is it harmless?

When it is not calcined - as is the case here - it is perfectly harmless to humans, horses, dogs, etc ...

As it is naturally abrasive and drying (which enables it to kill parasites), you should avoid breathing it or spreading it near the eyes.

Lorsqu'on applique la terre de Diatomée sur le corps de l'animal, il faut commencer par la tête et terminer par la queue.

En effet, les parasites peuvent fuir durant le traitement. Si on commence par l'arrière et qu'on progresse vers la tête, les parasites auront tendance à se réfugier au niveau des yeux et des oreilles.

Matière irritante pour les yeux et les voies respiratoires à cause de sa texture abrasive et de ses propriétés asséchantes.
