Benefits of the composition

Shea butter combined with beeswax forms a protective film. Moisture escapes more slowly from the foot in very dry or hot weather. This prevents the foot from being subjected to severe stress in extreme weather conditions.

Noble Laurel, thyme honey and Tea Tree prevent microbes from proliferating. If the foot is thoroughly cleaned before application, there's no need to worry about trapping bacteria in the foot.

Their stimulating, regenerating and purifying properties help to keep forks beautiful, functional and easy to clean.

Finally, Noble Laurel stimulates the cells that make horn. These cells are located in the crown area, which is why it is preferable to apply the ointment there if there is insufficient growth in summer.

Directions for use

Apply the ointment to a clean foot. Depending on the purpose, you can apply it to the fork, sole, wall and/or crown.

Example of use

Insufficient growth: Apply to the crown.

Fork damage, fragile sole: Apply after working under the foot.

Dry, brittle feet in hot weather: After a shower or in the morning after the dew, dry by hand before applying the ointment to the whole foot.

Working on dry, uneven, abrasive ground: Apply to the whole foot before working.

L'importance de l'alimentation

Bien que certains nutriments soient survalorisés (biotine par exemple), ils sont nombreux à jouer un rôle dans la formation du sabot. Il faut privilégier des ingrédients de qualité et assurer une alimentation équilibrée.

Les cellules qui produisent les tissus travaillent à partir de protéines, de vitamines et d'acides gras. Elles ont également besoins de minéraux et d'oligo-éléments. Un déséquilibre concernant ces derniers peut finalement entraîner une carence.

Une alimentation inflammatoire, une sensibilité aux allergènes ou encore une maladie chronique peuvent générer des molécules instables (radicaux libres). Celles-ci peuvent abimer les cellules des tissus (muscles, tendons, peau, sabot, cerveau...). C'est pourquoi il est recommandé de veiller à un apport suffisant en antioxydants et de gérer les inflammations chroniques (arthrose, dermite, emphysème).

L'entretien du pied

L'apparition de sèmes peut être le signe d'un parage inadéquat. C'est pourquoi il ne faut pas hésiter à évoquer le problème auprès du pareur/maréchal. En fonction de ses conditions de vie, de sa race, de son alimentation et de son activité, votre cheval peut avoir besoin d'être paré plus ou moins souvent durant la saison estivale.
