Harpagophytum - Organic - Locomotor comfort

Peppermint is used to help maintain digestive comfort.
It is indicated for equidae:
For particularly delicate individuals, the effectiveness of mint can be enhanced by using it in synergy with other digestive plants.
As this plant is not much appreciated by intestinal parasites, its use tends to reduce the risk of infestation between two deworming treatments.

Protecting the digestive mucosa and improving transit
Peppermint helps to reduce acid production in the stomach and stimulate mucin production. It is therefore the perfect complement to measures taken to reduce the appearance of gastric ulcers. It relaxes smooth muscles and stimulates digestive processes, helping to ease difficult transit and combat intestinal spasms.
Supporting the athletic horse
Tonic, relaxing, neuroprotective and antioxidant, mint is the ally of the athletic horse. Using it will boost your horse's morale and long-term resistance.
Stimulating immunity
The immune response to pathogens already known to the body is naturally stimulated. Certain substances in peppermint have been studied for their effects on certain microbes (viruses, fungi, bacteria).
Combating excess iron
Peppermint 'captures' iron from the food it is ingested with and helps to eliminate it, working in favour of vitamins B9, C and E, manganese, calcium, copper, magnesium and potassium. Excess iron plays a role in metabolic problems, laminitis, liver failure, oxidative stress (damage to skin, muscle and tendon tissue, etc.), poor absorption of zinc and copper and inadequate immunity. Pastures on acid and clay soils, as well as the forage produced from them, should be monitored (risk of high iron levels), especially if your horse shows any of the above signs. If your horse is being treated for anaemia, peppermint should be given at a different time of day.
